The Archdiocese of Atlanta places its seminarian candidates carefully according to academic and pastoral formation needs. If you are chosen as a seminarian for this archdiocese, you may be sent to one of three seminaries.
Candidates for admission as seminarians in theology should have:
Sponsorship from their sending bishop;
An undergraduate degree in arts or sciences from an accredited college;
24 semester credit hours of undergraduate philosophy or its equivalent;
Official transcript showing undergraduate course work toward such a degree; degree completion should be anticipated within the seminary's two-year pre-theology
